Why You Shouldn't Root for the Nets

The Los Angeles Lakers were the biggest disappointment this season, missing the playoffs with Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook. Many pundits were shocked to see the Lakers fall, wondering what happened. But what about the Brooklyn Nets? This superteam had the likes of Blake Griffin, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant. But they fell off the face of the earth, getting swept by the Boston Celtics.

The Nets were supposed to be the NBA champions this season--at least, that's what the experts said the past couple of seasons. But Brooklyn's Big Three only played 16 games together, leaving the Nets to falter completely. The Nets are a team that'll never win an NBA title, no matter how many stars they sign. They could have Michael Jordan, LeBron, Larry Bird, Stephen Curry, AND Wilt Chamberlain all in their primes, yet they'd still find a way to blow the season.

The Nets are like the Chicago Cubs of the NBA; a team that'll never come close to winning a title despite having all the glory and fame. At least the Cubbies won a World Series less than six years ago. That's why you shouldn't be going hog wild for Brooklyn any time soon.
