What I'm Thankful For

Most people know Thanksgiving as the holiday where you eat a ton of turkey, watch football, and hang out with family. However, there's one motif that's usually overlooked: giving thanks. Here are a few things I'm thankful for this year.

  • Having a Good Job: I'm thankful to be working in a company that allows me to grow every day. Not only do I learn how to do a better job at my craft, but I learn more about life.

  • Living in a Friendly Environment: I didn't have the best experience growing up in the midwest. I was constantly picked on for being too small while causing trouble at the same time. In Las Vegas, I'm in a friendlier city where nearly every person stops by to say hello. It's also a more diverse city where I can be the person I've always wanted to be. No bravado, no showboats. Just live your life. That's what makes Las Vegas my hometown.

  • Having a Roof Over My Head: It goes without saying. But I'm grateful that I have a place to stay. Granted, it's not perfect since it has bugs from time to time. However, I'm thankful for the place that I'm staying right now.
