My Vegas Thing of the Month: Checking Out Hard Rock Cafe

You're walking down the strip on a hot summer day in Vegas. And I mean, HOT! Like 120 degrees hot. You're looking for something to eat and have an old rock tune stuck in your head. In short, you're in a pickle. What do you do? Why, you go to the Hard Rock Cafe!

In case you don't know what Hard Rock Cafe is, it infuses two common loves in America: food and rock and roll. Founded in 1971 by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton in London, this cultural staple covers its walls in rock and roll memorabilia. This includes artists such as Elvis Presley, Madonna, and K.I.S.S.

As of 2018, Hard Rock International had locations in 74 countries. That includes 185 cafes, 25 hotels, and 12 casinos. That's a lot of rock and roll! In fact, the chain announced legendary soccer star Lionel Messi as its brand ambassador to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

On that note, that's what I came to try: the Messi Burger. This delectable item has onions, lettuce, tomato, pork chorizo, cheese, and a burger sauce. You could even add a fried egg for more protein! Of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this. Otherwise, I wouldn't have scored a goal!

Anyways, I gave it a shot and-WOW-was it amazing! I knew adding an egg was the right choice since it tasted delicious. I wolfed down my meal in mere minutes, savoring every single bite.

Of course, you don't just come to Hard Rock Cafe to eat. No, you have to check out the memorabilia! There were so many rock and roll memories from musical legends on the walls. Musical acts like Britney Spears, Maroon 5, and REO Speedwagon all had their guitars or costumes adorned.

I definitely want to come back to Hard Rock Cafe sometime. It was an incredible experience and I enjoyed my dining experience. If you want to bask in musical nostalgia and go back to the hotel with a happy belly, go down to this iconic restaurant!
