Okay, so this won't be a bulleted post. Why? Because each game was exciting to watch. No blowouts. No boring games to watch. Each game was thrilling to the last second, providing every ounce of drama for football fans everywhere. Whether it was the special teams play from the San Francisco 49ers or the thriller between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs, you got your money's worth this weekend.
As I've mentioned before, it was hard to pick these games because each one could go either way. San Francisco is on a roll and winning on a team effort. Cincinnati has Joe Burrow and numerous weapons accompanying him, including Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Kansas City has that Patrick Mahomes fellow and is looking for vengeance after last season's Super Bowl loss. Los Angeles is a complete team, led by one of the best head coaches in the NFL in Sean McVay.
It was also an excellent football weekend because numerous NFL fans saw the likes of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers get eliminated. After watching the reviled Dallas Cowboys lose, fans saw the two MVP candidates go down on last-second field goals. What better way to celebrate an electrifying weekend than to watch two polarizing quarterbacks lose?
Speaking of which, those two will be under the scope this off-season. What will Tom Brady's plans be for next year? Where will Aaron Rodgers go? What does the future hold for the Green Bay Packers, especially with the likes of DaVante Adams hitting free agency? These will be major questions that will be addressed during the summer.
As for the championship games, let's enjoy the madness that went down this weekend. My voice is still shot to hell from all the screaming and yelling (as are many other fans). I can't wait to see what's in store for championship weekend.
